After Lahore and Karachi, Careem is soft launching its services in Islamabad today to become the first 360 degrees on-demand cab service of the capital city.
Careem service will be available in Islamabad through its app, phone and website, starting today (March 28th, 2016) 2PM.
Just in case if you don’t know, Careem is an affordable yet comfortable cab service that can be requested at your door-step through Careem App, website or through a helpline number.
Launched in Pakistan during late 2015, Careem serves in 26 cities across the region from Dubai to Riyadh, Morocco to Doha, Karachi to Lahore and now in Islamabad.
You can use Careem for your daily commute options within the city any time of the day. Careem also provides Airport Pick & Drop options for the customers, thus making the commute to the airport hassle free. Careem offers fare waiver for Airport pickups if ride is late by more than five minutes.
Not to mention, this is a soft launch and Careem is reportedly planning to do a media event with proper launch with-in few days, for which details haven’t been disclosed as of yet.

Sources at Careem have disclosed that they shall be catering to all the sectors of Islamabad at the moment and Airport.
Rawalpindi is currently not included but service will be extended to residents of Rawalpindi very soon.

The rates for Careem are the same as in Lahore & Karachi, which are as follows:
NOW Booking: (Basic: Rs.150) + (Per Km fare: Rs. 25 / Km) + (Waiting: Rs. 4 / Min)
LATER Booking: (Basic: Rs.350) + (Per Km fare: Rs. 25 / Km) + (Waiting: Rs. 4 / Min)
Note: Careem defines wait time as time when the car is traveling less than 16 km/h
Fixed-time bookings (Later Booking) need to be made at least 1 hour before the pickup. The bookings are confirmed instantly for a punctual, reliable, and comfortable ride.
NOW bookings do not have any advance booking requirements. When you request a car NOW, Careem will dispatch the closest available car and let you know how long it will take for the car to reach you. If it is going to take longer than you can afford to wait, you can Cancel the booking within the first 2 minutes without any charge.
