The banner in the picture reads:
We have been trying to get out PTCL number 042-6371795 fixed for the last six weeks, but without any success!
It is not clear whether putting up a banner to register your telephone complaint worked or not. But one can only imagine how desperate this person had to be that he resorted such extreme measures of spending money on the printing of this banner and then hoisting it on a busy city road. Or, maybe, he is just trying to make light of what has to be a really frustrating situation. As they say, “Lahore, Lahore hai!”

I would like to say you that it is all correspondence have been done between ptcl higher management but still unresolved matter for Ptcl reason no enough fund for damage fiber…….??

The case has been long prolong, this is with reference to our telephonic conversation regarding mentioned subject dated 09.12.2009. As per your instruction the case has been given by Mr. Javeed Sheikh (Dev. Head), I regret to inform you that I have not get any positive response yet??? The case still pending and no result from your side.
Therefore, you are kindly requested to look into this synoptically. I am student in Karachi University and internet is my need for education. I have got net connection ptcl broadband but due to fiber damage it has been disconnected from October 7, 2009 I am facing such kind of problem to complete my assignments on daily basis.
I am sure and hopeful that your prompt action make it urgent basis.

My phone number in 051-5707614. I had a problem with phone for over three months but it is in order now. But my DSL is not working and the people in Nawaz Colony never come here to check the phone or the DSL. The PTCL workers are the worst that has ever happened to Pakistan. They take bribes and then do the work and I do not give bribe and so they never come to check the phone or the DSL. I earn haraam but I do not, and I have been facing a great deal of difficulty to pay for the bills to PTCL.

So sad to say you and your staff members are not well nowadays try to train and lookafter on their attitude with customers, i very impressed before thats why i suggest my all friends and families for purchasing of PTCL broadband service and i proud to say after my suggestion minimum 11 connections bought
i have also my personal 3 lines of your DSL Broadband (021-34690408 ’2Mb’, 021-34642926 1Mb and 021-34690449)..but i totaly disappointed with your services,, i warn again and again to your staff(1218) that i will quit if my problems not resolve soon, but they didnt take any serious action, one is saying there is some working on networking solution, one is saying working on fibertech, and today i recieved massage as there are no any activies lying…. can you tell who is the right one????
some ptcl staff are moving here and there with lots of Cables and PTCL vam after there gone our phone lines were not working when we kept tomorow to resolve our problem they were saying some one cut piece of telephone cable or your connection… no any problem faced before there coming, i know no one can cut a piece of cable except them. one saying from call centre your problem will resolve within 24 hours after than one other person again saying 24 hours again again again … why????
iam giving you in written plz resolve my problem as soon as posible within 24 hours otherwise i will quit and also my all friends and families will quit because they already disappointed with your services..

Dear sir,our dsl coonection on phone number 0459-230539 is not working propely and mostly remains disconnected.Despite of several complaints to the PTCL branch office in Mianwali,no attention will be given to this problem.i requests that some steps should be taken to provide us 24 hours totally conected internet facility.We want to get the facility for which we are monthly paying for.

What a Miserable Performance of PTCL
I had applied (online) for PTCL connection in July 2009 – this was really a blunder from me.
No response received for 2-3 months.
On my follow up, connection was refused due to technical problems. PTCL, instead, offered me Vfone connection (probably in October 2009) which I declined.
Later, all of sudden, PTCL started sending me monthly bills (Nov 2009).
On receipt of 1st bill, complaint was immediately lodged on 080080800, 1236 and 1218
On receipt of 2nd bill, complaint was again registered on all numbers given on the bill and available on PTCL website. I also tried to contact the Divisional Engineer, Sr. Operation Engineer and RGM but all in vain.
On receipt of 3rd bill, the complaint process was repeated and it was also lodged with PTA.
After a week, a call was received from an Islamabad number (PTCL); assuring me that billing would be stopped immediately.
However, the next month, bill (4th) was again received. The complaint was again registered.
Then, as per matter of routine, the 5th monthly bill was received (without any connection). This time the bill was received with a threatening letter/ notice; what a criminal and condemnable act it was.
In reply, I again emailed to PTCL & PTA condemning the irresponsible attitude and poor management of PTCL. I made it clear that I reserve all the rights in the world to defend myself by all means. I also declared that in case of any mishap, the PTCL management would be fully responsible.
Soon, thereafter, Mr. Khalil Ahmed Dharpali (Business Manager Ops KIA Division STR-II Karachi), first contact me over my cell number and then visited my residence (on 17th April 2010) and assured me that all extra charges would be waived off and connection would be given immediately. Condemnable Highly Permormance of PTCL I had applied (online) for PTCL connection in July 2009.
No response was received for months.
On my continuous follow up, landline connection was refused due to technical problems at the concerned exchange. They, instead, offered me Vfone connection (probably in October 2009) which I declined.
Later, they started sending me monthly bills.
On receipt of 1st bill, complaint was immediately lodged on 080080800, 1236 and 1218
On receipt of 2nd bill, complaint was again registered on all numbers given on the bill and available on PTCL website.
On receipt of 3rd bill, the complaint process was repeated and it was also lodged (1st time) with PTA.
Then, after a week, a call was received from an Islamabad number, assuring me that billing would be stopped.
However, next month’s bill (4th) was again received. And now the current bill has been received with a threatening notice which is highly condemnable.
In the meantime, about two or three weeks ago, a phone calls was received from exchange that they were going to erect/ install the line/ connection. The same was rejected by me.
It is highly regretted to mention again that I have continuously been receiving PTCL bogus bills (now 5th monthly bill without any landline connection). Further, this time the bill is received with a threatening notice/ warning letter (copy attached).
In this regard, I want to make it clear that I reserve all then rights in the world to defend myself by all means. I also deem it necessary to mention that in case of any mishap or undesirable incident, the PTCL management will be fully responsible.
I have tried to contact responsible officers, and have continuously been making complaints but no response is available as yet.
I also tried to contact the Divisional Engineer, Sr. Operation Engineer and also RGM, on a number of occasions during last 1 month but no one is attending the call which is very unfortunate & deplorable.
I have personally visited to the valued customer and met Abdul Suboor sb give him assurance to waved-off line rent of deputed period after this commitment Mr. Abdul Saboor agreed and allow CSR for connection which line is already
I hope, this time an appropriate action will be taken against the responsible officials.

Soon, thereafter, Mr. Khalil Ahmed Dharpali (Business Manager Ops KIA Division STR-II Karachi), first contact me over my cell number and then visited my residence (on 17th April 2010) and assured me that all extra charges would be waived off and connection would be given immediately. I have purchased an EVO device few days back, for last three days I am trying to connect it but unable to do so. Contacted 1236 and they told me that I have to load Rs. 2000 to use the service as my default package is Max. I asked them to to change my package to Day Pass, they said they have put my request to the concerned department and that it would take maximum 24 hours to change the package. I called them after 24 hours because the package was not yet changed and in the mean process 1236 and 1218 kept on rolling me to one customer service to another, trust me I have spend hours waiting to connect through. I have almost called 5 times to 1236 and they told me contact 1218, almost called 7 times 1218 and all that time they told me to contact 1236 … my question is “WHAT THE FUCK THIS SERVICE IS” and “WHY THE HELL YOU CREATED ALL THESE BULLSHIT CUSTOMER SERVICES” … if they do not have any authority to change the service packages at least they can guide us the right person to contact…for last two days I am treated like a rolling stone from one FUCKING CUSTOMER CARE REPRESENTATIVE TO OTHER … this is not a fucking customer service I must say … I know this message even won’t make any difference but FUCK U AND YOUR SERVICE

I want to inform you that since last 16 days I have facing some problems regarding my PTCL DSL service 02134591537. I have registered so many complaint at 1218,DSL technician came after three days he tried to rectify but when he failed he said your line has much noise thats why DSL link can, t get stability, then I again registered so many complain about noisy line but nobody bother to rectify it ,in last week I daily visited to my concern exchange(Karachi Air port) and told whole story to DE Mr. Fahim as well as zonal Director Mr. Arif Kamal was also there, Mr. Fahim assure me your problem will rectify but still after four meeting with Mr. Fahim and Mr.Arif Kamal, problem is persist, which mean not a lower staff as well as DE and Director level also not interested to solve customers problem, it is regret to say Mr.Fahim asked me to contact area engineer Mr. Asim Naveed,today I called him but his behaviour was very rude and unmannerly, he did not listen me he straight forward refused and said it is cable issue contact to Mr.Alamgeer.
I could not understand how the PTCL is running with this type of irresponsible person
It is not out of mention that I did not understand whether PTCL broadband and phones are under the same administration or separate because when ever I complaint about broadband due to noise, they said go to phone section it is fault of line, phone section said it is fault of broadband, I don’t know what the hell is going on with PTCL.
I have put so many complaint at 1218, once when I asked about status of my complaints, 1218 person said it has been resolved as per our record when ever problem is still there but resolved without any work, there is no cross check. The only person who tried his best is DSL technician Mr. Rehman but he cant do any thing unless phone line is clear, how many complaint I have to register and how many time I have to visit I don’t know, I have never seen attitude like PTCL official specially Mr.Asim Naveed who don’t have manners and care of customers problems.
It is sorry to say if I could not get any solution ,I compel to discontinue PTCL phone as well as DSL,this will be only due to ignorance and irresponsibility of these higher official like DE Mr. Fahim and Director Arif Kamal.I don’t want to pay on defective service, there are lot of internet services are available in market.
I request you please take necessary and immediate action on my complain specially on behaviour of Mr.Asim Naveed

I am serving in Finance Division (Military), Member Finance Secretariat HIB Taxila Cantt. I applied for PTCL connection in June, 2010. The phone line was provided to me on 9.7.2010 (containing No. 0514542481). On the same day I applied for a DSL connection on prescribed proforma. PTCL claims that they are providing the DSL within one week period but the present case has entered in 3rd week. I was informed that my application has been considered and approved for installation of DSL (student package). Despite making complaints on daily basis on different levels, neither any person visited my home not the DSL has been installed. The staff of help line as well as the Telephone Exchange Taxila are taking no interest in my complaints made by me, which are in dozens in number.
2 In view of the above, it is requested that orders may please be issued to concerned staff for installation of DSL at my residence No. S-II/30, HIT, Taxila Cantt.

PTCL is continuing sending me fake/ bogus monthly bills without any service. Now they have once again threatened me vide above letter. This is absolutely an act of terrorism. I condemn this behavior of PTCL in strongest terms.
It is here clarified once again that:
1.There is no service on my number since 20-05-2010. PTCL is continuously sending me monthly bills despite PTA instructions vide email dated June 15, 2010 for not levying any bill in the absence of provision of services.
2.Previously, PTCL has the record of sending me monthly bills for six months (from November 2009 to April 2010) without any connection at all.
3.The connection/ service was finally provided on 01.05.2010 – that too after payment of previous bogus bills which have not yet been adjusted.
4.As such, I have already paid far more than the use of service (which remained available for 20 days only).
In view of the above, PTCL is again advised to stop sending me such bogus bills immediately. The threatening attitude of PTCL can not be tolerated in any case. Chairman PTCL is requested to look into the matter personally and take stern action against the responsible officials.
I am taking this matter very seriously and all concerned PTCL officials, especially Mr. Shahid Javed/Manager Policy & Regulations, Mr. Mazhar Ul Islam/Manager Revenue and Mr. Khalil Ahmed Dharpali/BM Korangi Karachi will be fully responsible for all consequences.

my phone no 0515957966 is out of order, i contacted to my relevant exchange to do favourable action so that i can avail phone facility. but inspite of many reminders my phone is still out of order. My DSL is installed on that number and is working good but phone facility is out of order.

dear sorry to say that u duisappointed us . i apply for a ptcl connection and still didnt got it. then i take a connection from my neighbour after taht i apply to dsl and they told me ot will be installed in 24 hrs. but after 15 days they provide me net facility. and moreover they record my wrong address from my id card. they didnt sent me bill i got from them myself thjey disconnect my phne before due date. what a service mashallah. kuch to sharam o haya kare me ne 10 din pehle bill jama karaya hai aur ap lpgo ne abi tak connection open nahi kiya. my number is 0915853418

i farooq asghar shah again register my complain against my tephone no 0298550330 from thatta, i alos registerd my complain so many time 1218 but ur local ptcl replied ( jao jo kana hai). here your staff is openly salining wires to private men in unsing electricity in theft wapda i can also prove that, if a committee consituted from higher management, i also regiter my complain to the gm str 1 on his mobile no 03332763655. his reply was dont worry i ordered for follow ur coplain. i also complain to hyderabad gm on 0222783063 mr naeem said sir today ur line will ok. but sorry to say i am paying dsl charger regular but no one is following my complain. i strongly request the chairman etsalat/PTCL kindly interviene in this mattar and save ptcl service in thatta. thats y people is disconnecting ur ptcl service due to not following complains here

I m realy sorry for it bt i can’t explain about the bludy hell service of ptcl . i m facing the problem of my landline no since 6 month .becoz of this also can’t use my broad band service becoze of u bolshit guys my assingment ‘ll not deliver to institute if u cant solve our problem then go to home & enjoy our (Ghatia ) life . if u ‘ll not take action on this then dash ki________________________________
