Police in Saudi Arabia arrested several men who appeared in a “gay wedding scene,” according to The Independent.

A viral video shows two men walking side-by-side as they are showered in confetti. A long bridal train appears to trail along the ground behind one of the men.

Local police said they had identified “the cross-dresser and other people involved in the incident”.
Officers arrested a number of people at the event while their cases had been referred to prosecutors. But they did not name the men or provide details of the charges they faced.

Police said the event had happened at a festival at a resort in the holy city, and had left people present “surprised”.

The Kingdom does not have written laws concerning same sex relationships, however, Saudi judges use principles of sharia law to sanction people they suspect of having sex with someone of the same gender, according to Human Rights Watch.

Judges and prosecutors use provisions of the country’s anti-cybercrime law that criminalises online activity impinging on “public order, religious values, public morals, and privacy”.

There have been reports the country’s prosecution office is planning to request the death penalty for anyone “using social media to solicit homosexual acts.”

Situation in Punjab’s Kasur city remained tense for the second day as the protest against rape and murder case of a minor continued, Express News reported on Thursday.

The city remained paralysed as legion of people kept visiting the victim’s parents to offer their condolence. The eight-year-old girl was raped and killed in Kasur, days after she had gone missing from home.

She had gone missing five days prior to being found dead. The family and community took to the streets to protest after the horrific incident forcing all markets to shut down and the city to come to a standstill.

The protest has yet to subside even after officials assured the protestors that the culprits will be brought to justice. A complete shutter-down was witnessed on the second day with enraged people blocking Bagh Chowk from all four sides.

Meanwhile, Punjab Bar Council has also called for a province-wide strike.

During the protests in the city on Wednesday, at least two men were killed as police responded to the protestors. Their bodies have been handed over to the families.

Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif met Zainab’s grieving parents and family members in Kasur on Thursday morning. He also prayed for the departed soul.

He expressed sadness and offered condolences for the horrific incident. “Until I get you justice, I will not rest,” said Shehbaz. “The whole nation cries for Zainab and what happened to her. It is my duty and responsibility to ensure that she gets justice.”

“Whoever has perpetrated this crime is a horrible criminal in the eyes of the government and the people. He will not be able to escape the shackles of law and justice,” Shehbaz added.

“The government will help Zainab’s family in every capacity, and we stand behind you in every aspect,” he told the family members.

At least two people were killed and two others injured on Wednesday when a protesting crowd turned violent and the police opened indiscriminate fire on them.

Fast & Furious actor Paul Walker died in a car crash this afternoon when his friend lost control of a Porsche GT and collided with a street light.
The star’s representatives and official Facebook page confirmed his death this evening.
Walker, 40, was a passenger in the high-powered super-car when it spun out of control in Santa Clarita at 3:30pm today.

The LA County Sheriff’s department has confirmed that two people died in a collision at 3:30pm today, but no names have yet been released.
However, representatives for the actor have confirmed that Paul Walker was one of the two men who died this afternoon.
‘It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide,’ reads a Facebook update on Walker’s official page.
‘He was a passenger in a friend’s car, in which both lost their lives. We appreciate your patience as we too are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news. Thank you for keeping his family and friends in your prayers during this very difficult time. We will do our best to keep you apprised on where to send condolences. – #TeamPW.’
Walker was reportedly an investor in the Always Evolving auto shop in Valencia, California and was in the area for a car show to support the Philippines typhoon relief effort.
Witnesses at the crash scene posted video of the site on YouTube, showing debris from the crash and emergency workers cordoning off the area.
Photographs from the scene show a completely wrecked, burnt out shell of a car.
Friends of the star told a local newspaper that they ‘went through fire extinguishers’ in a futile bid to fight the blaze that engulfed the car after the crash.
‘We all ran around and jumped in cars and grabbed fire extinguishers and immediately went to the vehicle. It was engulfed in flames. There was nothing. They were trapped. Employees, friends of the shop. We tried. We tried.’ Antonio Holmes told the Santa Clarita Signal.
Friends at the scene said that Walker and his friend were taking the Porsche out for a joyride.
‘Him and his buddy, his brother in arms at heart just decided to joyride, take a spin. Something we all do. We’re all car enthusiasts. … We’re all here driving, enjoying each other, and God must’ve needed help,’ said Holmes, who said he was a friend of Walker.
‘When we saw Paul and Roger leave, Paul was the passenger in the vehicle. They both were experienced drivers.
‘This was just a tragic accident that happened on a joyride,’ said witness Jim Torp of Santa Clarita.

Walker rode the Fast & Furious franchise to stardom, starring in all but one of the six action blockbusters, beginning with the first film in 2001.
The blond-haired, blue-eyed Los Angeles-native brought California surfer good-looks and an easy, warm charm to the popular street-racing series.

And Fast & Furious proved unusually enduring. Released in May, Fast & Furious 6 was the most lucrative of them all, grossing more than $788 million worldwide.
