The banner in the picture reads:
We have been trying to get out PTCL number 042-6371795 fixed for the last six weeks, but without any success!
It is not clear whether putting up a banner to register your telephone complaint worked or not. But one can only imagine how desperate this person had to be that he resorted such extreme measures of spending money on the printing of this banner and then hoisting it on a busy city road. Or, maybe, he is just trying to make light of what has to be a really frustrating situation. As they say, “Lahore, Lahore hai!”

The Subject telephone number got out of order some 10 days back when the PTCL staff have some diging / repair job corner of my street , since that day my telephone is out of order. I approached the telephone staff number of time who promised to get the telephone line repaired. Since then I repeatedly making complaints no one is bothering .
It is requested that My telephone No 04235820768 maybe repaired and an internal inquiry may be held into the affairs of ghazi road Exchange so that the subscribers get a sigh of relief from ptcl staff of ghazi road exchange.

sir i am a evo device user from sabaza zar A-block multan road lahore MDN number 42-35006066 . i am facing the problem of slow downloading and browsing speed since purchasing date.i have called many times on 1218 but there is no positive response about my complain. kindly help me in this problem.

Dear ,
We have installed 6 telephone numbers at our factory in lahore. I am trying to contact with concern people last 45 days. No one picking the phone or neither got any satisfactory answer from anyone. here are the phone number 042-5824126, 042-5824127.
I dont know what i need to do. If this issue are not resolved i have plan to closed my all ptcl number soon.

dear PTCL team,
i am launching the complaints since 23-Jun-2010 on daily basis, but unfortunatily there is no positive response from PTCL end
every day i get a new complain number but output is =0
every day 1218 ask me to wait 2 hours 3 hours or today COB, line will be OK, but the status is still same
please help and resolve the issue ASAP

My name is Ziauddin Hashmi and i am from Hyderabad. My complaint is that my ptcl landline number 0223-868441 is out of order. Its happening the second time during these previous 15 days. It is requested to u to please look upon my complain urgently and try to solve this problem as soon as possible.

Shame on PTCL – No Service, No Managenment, No System
I had applied (online) for PTCL connection in July 2009 which has proved to be a blunder from me. After having no response for 2-3 months, I enquired about the status of my application. In reply, I was told that due to technical problems, land line connection could not be provided. PTCL, instead, offered me Vfone connection (probably in October 2009) which I declined.
Later, all of sudden, PTCL started sending me monthly bills (since Nov 2009).
On receipt of 1st bill, complaint was immediately lodged on 080080800, 1236 and 1218. On receipt of 2nd bill, complaint was again registered on all numbers given on the bill and available on PTCL website. I also tried to contact the Divisional Engineer, Sr. Operation Engineer and RGM but all in vain.
On receipt of 3rd bill, the complaint process was repeated and it was also lodged with PTA.
Subsequently, after a week, a call was received from an Islamabad number, assuring me that billing would be stopped immediately.
However, the next month bill (4th) was again received. The complaint was again registered. Then, as per matter of routine, the 5th monthly bill was also received (without any connection). This time the bill was received with a threatening letter/ notice; this was absolutely a criminal and strongly condemnable act.
In reply, I again emailed to PTCL & PTA condemning the irresponsible attitude and poor management of PTCL. I made it clear that I reserve all the rights to defend myself by all means. I also made it clear that in case of any mishap, the PTCL management would be fully responsible.
Soon, thereafter, Mr. Khalil Ahmed Dharpali (Business Manager Ops KIA Division STR-II Karachi), first contacted me over my cell number and then visited my residence (on 17th April 2010) and assured me that all extra charges would be waived off and connection would be given immediately. On this commitment I allowed for connection, which was another blunder by me.
The line was soon installed but without any service/ calling facility.
I again started complaining. Then, Mr. Khalil Ahmed Dharpali again advised me to pay the bill first to have calling facility.
Anyhow, the bill was paid. Meanwhile, the next monthly bill was received which was also paid
But unfortunately the telephone service is still unavailable on my number
I have made complaints to all relevant authorities by all means but till today no response has been received from anyone.
I am suffering from such a regrettable and condemnable behavior of PTCL since November 2009, but none of the PTCL officials has paid any attention or tried to resolve the issue.
PTA has also proved to be helpless in this regard as it has totally failed to take any action against PTCL for embarrassing me since last 8 months.
